LA ORACION CRISTIANA

Octavo centenario del  encuentro de san Francisco con el sultán de Egipto Malik Al-Kamil Pero, ¿quiénes son los musulmanes? Creo que para saberlo sería conveniente estudiar su cultura, su lengua, su historia. En cuanto a la historia, en España y Portugal hemos tenido una relación de 800 años entre musulmanes y cristianos... ¿Cómo nos fue? ¿Por qué aquellas guerras?¿Por qué la expulsión de los moriscos ya en el siglo XVII? Sí, lo primero que me interesa es la experiencia en esta misma tierra, por nuestros antepasados... Eso ya me da unas garantías de autenticidad en el testimonio... Además, me propongo conocer escritores de la tierra de los árabes en particular, y de los musulmanes en general. No quiero leer libros escritos por un autor de Nueva York, de Madrid o de Berlín, aunque he de reconocer que allí hay verdaderos especialistas..., pero no... Quiero escuchar a la gente de esa tierra y de esa cultura, porque desde la mirada occidental se juzga Oriente y el islam con fuerte...
